Granulated foam glass is a perfect thermal insulation material. It is a foamed and gas-filled glass mass. The initial composition is the same as that of ordinary glass.
It gives the material excellent hardness, durability, versatility in use and chemical neutrality.
The material is able to withstand both significant variations in operating temperatures and compressive loads.
We can also supply the material in other variations:
Gravel
Specially produced glass foam insulation material in the form of small, irregularly shaped whole pieces of foam glass.
Crushed foam glass
A secondary material that results from the cutting of shaped pieces of block foam glass and from the trimming of foam glass blocks.
Plate (blocks, bricks)
A unique rigid thermal insulation material consisting of airtight non interconnectable glass bubbles.
Usage
Foam glass is available in the form of granules and is used as:
thermal insulation of foundations, roofs and ceilings; insulation of large areas
creation of a thermal insulation layer in ceilings and chimneys;
as a filler in the manufacture of lightweight concrete and lightweight building materials, mortars, as well as foam blocks, etc.;
production of warm plaster mixes;
highway construction;
the material is also added to tile adhesive for additional noise insulation.
The potential service life of foam glass is 100 years with no significant loss of thermal conductivity, strength and size. Confirmed by international research.
Fire-resistance
Not flammable. Does not emit toxic elements. Work temperatures from -200 to +700 С°.
Durability
Durability is
0,5-1,2 MegaPascals. Durability characteristics do not change with and do not deteriorate with full water saturation. Can be used in high pressure grouts.
Resistance to impacts
Resistant to prolonged exposure to chemically aggressive environments. It's also resistant to mold, fungi and other undesirable biological factors.
Lightness and low thermal conductivity
The remarkable lightness of granulated foam glass is due to its developed porous internal structure. Low thermal conductivity 0.04-0.07 W/mK
Spherical shape
All fractions of granulated foam glass have a spherical shape, which allows for maximum efficiency of the granules in the composition of the final materials.
